That is the question! When a client asks us to develop a web site for them we evaluate their requirements and the decision depends on the tools and services they want to incorporate into the site. Rule of thumb: For the present time stay with the older version because of the versatility and the availability of extentions. However, if your current needs are mainly content driven (articles and information) with a limited need for additional tools, go with the newer version. In the long run Joomla! 1.5 is where it's going to. |
